What is NeuroPilates?
NeuroPilates is a blend of traditional pilates with neurological exercises designed to support and improve brain health. It combines mindful movement with science-based drills that engage the brain and nervous system, helping you move better, think clearer, and feel more connected to your body.
Who is NeuroPilates for?
Anyone and everyone can benefit from NeuroPilates! Many people are drawn to this work while recovering from a stroke or concussion, or living with a neurological condition. Others come to support an aging brain, enhance balance, or reduce the risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
What to expect in a private session:
A typical NeruoPilates session begins with a neuro-assessment that evaluates posture and gait from the perspective of the brain and nervous system. We also access balance, explore coordination tasks, and observe the function of cranial nerves.
What to expect in a group class:
Traditional Pilates integrated with intentional neurological challenges to engage the brain as well as the body. Alongside classical and contemporary Pilates repertoire, we challenge coordination, balance, and memory—just to name a few. Expect classes to be fun, focused, and challenging. Pilates with a twist. At its core, NeuroPilates meets you where you are -- whether you're healing, maintaining, or looking to uncover hidden weaknesses -- guiding you toward optimal brain and body performance. Have more questions about NeuroPilates? Email us at hello@pilatespeopledenver.com.
